" The Hunchback of Notre Dame" was repeated for the last time yesterday evening; followed by "Hit him, he has no Friends," tho latter lat-ter being a capital farce which will bear repetition. To morrow niyht "Griffith Gaunt" will be reproduced, with a cast that should do justice to this tale of jealousy, jeal-ousy, io which the peculiar talent of Charlts Itcado is conspicuous. Mr, Bates appears in the title role, Miss Walters as Kate Peyton, the beauty of Cumberland, Miss Florence Kent her first appearance here as Mercy Vint, tho beauty of Lancashire; and the oast embraces Messrs. Marge tts, Graham, Gra-ham, Thome, Dudley, Wilton, Forster, Maibcn, and others, Tho fair scene and the trial scene are alone worth going go-ing to see, and the drama of "Griffith Gaunt" always draws crowded houses. |
