A remarkable speech was delivered in the national assembly today, to-day, by deputy Audiffret Pasquier, upon the oonduofc of army contractors, whom he stigmatized as shamelessly dishooest, and said the government should Bee to it that the frauds of the past, whioh led to such disastrous results, re-sults, should not be tolerated in the future. In the army only could be found the best school for young generals, gen-erals, and all must serve in it alike, and it should not be the subject of the ; demoralising consequences of the dishonesty dis-honesty of these contractors. The speech created genuine and unprecedented unprece-dented enthusiasm in the chamber, and tho assembly ordered it to be printed and copies of it circulated throughout all France, |
