Mr. Roekwood presented claims of the Territorial road commissioner, Thco. McKcan, for services rendered: referred. A communication from the auditor of public accounts, Wm. Clayton, in relation to auditors' warrants and court orders, was received, read and referred to the committee on revenue. Another communication was received re-ceived from the same officer, iu rclathn to amending the law on assessing and collecting Territorial and county taxes: read and referred. Mr. Peacock presented petition of the inhabitants of Fairview, Sanpete county, praying for their town to be incorporated. in-corporated. Referred to the committee commit-tee on incorporation. Mr. Roekwood reported back the hill amending the charters of the incorporated incor-porated cities; also the petition of W. C. A Smoot and others, praying lor an amendment to the Salt Lake city charter; char-ter; and recommended that the bill pass, and that the petition he granted, Tho bill was taken up on its second reading, aud referred back to the committee. com-mittee.
