SmiLh, presented present-ed petition of John Hamilton and ftwenty-Ove others, citizens of Hamilton, Hamil-ton, Iron county, for common school purposes: Referred to the committee on education. Communications were received from the bouse announcing the passage of i ll. F. '.) "An act chaneing the name of Rnbcn Andrew Robinson to ; Ruben Robinson Blasedale;" also the parage- by the house of (C. F. 5. ) "An jact establishing district and precinct pounds, ic.," with amendment, and asking for the concurrence of the council coun-cil in the amendments. The latter act was read as amended, and was attain amended, and the house requested request-ed to "concur. (li. F. is.) "An act changing the name of Ruben Andrew Robinson was passed. Councilor Woodruff", chairman of the committee on agriculture, Ac, presented pre-sented (C. F. IS.) "An act for the1 protection of game and fish, and defining de-fining tho duties of the county courts in relation thereto," which was laid on tho table to come up in its order. (C. F. 10. ) "An act recognizing the common law as a rule of decision in civii cases," was laid on the table in-deGnitely. in-deGnitely. (C. F. 11.) "An act to provide rules for the working and development of mines," being a substitute for "an act relating to the discovery of gold and silver lodes, kc," was called up on its second reading by sections. The bill was amended and so passed, and was sent to the house for concurrence. Counsilor Cannon gave notice that on Friday, he would introduce a bill for "an act appropriating means to defray the expenses of holding a convention, iY.c." Reave was granted. A communication was received from the house announcing the passage of (II. F. HO.) "An act authorizing and requiring the auditor of public accounts to use a seal." The bill was tabled to come up in its order. Adjourned till Friday 9th at 1 p m. |
