Show I TWO MEN INJURED Deplorable Accident at the Golden Gate Mine Two men were seriously injured at the Golden Gate mine at Mercur yesterday yester-day by an explosion of giant powder I was after the change of shifts af ter 32 oclock and the two men Will Flowers and Dick Iemp were shovel ing ore into a car when one of the men struck a nick into tne pile of ore to loosen i up and the point struck an unexploded cap in which some powder was retained I The result was disastrous and both men were taken from the mine in a pitiable condition I is feared that Flowers will lose the I sight of both eyes the thumb of one i I hand was cut off and he was cut and bruised all over his body Mr Kemp got off more easily and it again is believed will soon be out and around I I Brigham City Mines Brigham
