purpose and at 5 oclock the millionaire and philanthropist philan-thropist passed away without speaking and with scarcely I struggle Mrs Pullman who with her two sonsGeorge and Sanger have been on a eastern tour were wired to at once and no funeral arrangements wil be made until she arrives CIRCUMSTANCES OF DEATH While seemingly In good health Mr Pullman had been complaining during the last three or four days of the hot spell and of feeling rather uncomfortable uncomfort-able After leaving his office at 5 pin p-in yesterday he remained at his residence resi-dence all evening About 430 oclock he awoke and called his body servant toMS to-MS bedside and snake again of feeling I uncomfortable Finally he requested the family physician Dr Billings D sent for In the meantime hearing through the servants of Mr Pullmans indisposition Rev Dr Charles Eaton of New York an intimate friend of the Pullman family and who was visiting at their home went hurriedly into the Sick mans bed chamber Mr Pullman lapidly grew worse and a second message mes-sage was sent to Dr Billings but before be-fore the doctor could reach the homer home-r Pullman had become unconscious Pulman ha unconscous and he room and found him standing up and as i he were in great pain One of them telephoned for Dr Billings At the same time he was assisted to walk to a lounge He then became Unconscious Uncon-scious Meantime Dr Billings had arrived ar-rived at the house and applied restoratives restor-atives but without avail and Mr Pull alves man quietly passed away without Regaining Re-gaining consciousness At the town of Pullman preparations were made to close the big shops and fo the proper observance of Mr Pullmans mans obsequies George Mortimer Pullman was born in Chautauqua county New York on CautauqUa
