solid stone foundation and stands south of the old shaft house To supply steam to the big engines five mammoth upright up-right Berry safety boilers were recently installed in a building about 200 feet east of the engine room The plant is a model one in every respect no expense ex-pense being sprred in its equipment The first steel gallows frame in the state will be in use at this mine The frame is now in place and only the finishing fin-ishing touches are needed to the big engine to have the new i mat in operation Oper-ation The gallows frame is 113 feet from base to top but its base
