Show BLOOD TRAGEDY I Three Men Loso Their Lives in Indian In-dian Territory P Muskogee L T Oct 14A bloody tragedy in which three menlost their lives occurred on Spanish Creek 12 miles southeast of here about 4 oclock this morning The killed are J B Jourdan a respectable re-spectable farmer of the vicinity Moses Miller a noted desperado Bill Watson Wat-son a Cherokee outlaw Jourdan was returning home after I having spent the night sitting up with a sick friend a few miles away He noticed two rough looking strangers lying by the roadside His suspicions were aroused and he went to his brother F bro-ther for assistance The Jourdans returned re-turned to where the men were lying t and asked them who they were The desperadoes replied with a shot and Jourdan fell back dead shot through the heart John Jourdan then opened fire on the desperadoes and killed them both United States deputy marshals were notified of the tragedy and on arrival at the scene identified one of the dead men as Moses Miller whose brother John recently killed Mr Madden Mad-den a merchant of Braggs L T The other was identified as a Cherokee fugitive fu-gitive named Watson |
