with a reporter last night ho said There Is no truth in the report that we arc seeking an independent entrance into New York Our relations with the New York Central arc harmonious and mutually mutu-ally advantageous As an instance I ran state that among other business which will be transacted at our annual meeting next month the shareholders will be asked to approve an arrangement between the Toronto Hamilton Buffalo Railway company the Canada Northern the Michigan Central Cen-tral and the Now York Central for the regulation and Interchange of traffic and for tho division and apportionment of toils rates and charges The Toronto Hamilton Buffalo railway rail-way is a new road The other roads mentioned men-tioned will welcome the lesser It traverses trav-erses the Niagara received in this city that Henry Butters of Berkeley has closed a deal from which the entire street railway systems of the City of Mexico have passed into the hands of an English syndicate syn-dicate bill Huntington WASHINGTON March 9The examination examin-ation of C P Huntington the Southern Pacific railroad magnate which has been pursued by Senator Morgan several days in the senate committee will be shifted Wednesday to the house committee on Pacific railroads It was decided at a meeting held today to have Huntington appear Chairman Powers desired the committee should begin at once the
