Show STAT PROGRSS Al Popkiss I Making a Success at the Creole Mine Stateline Iron County Utah May 29 Sam Ker yon and Dr G H Fenne more paid a visit to Stateline last week and expressed themselves a being greatly surprised at the line surface showings and predict a great future for the camp While here Mr Kenyon and A G Bast purchased the Central group of claims from Messrs Dodd and Sutherland Mr Courtney formerly of Butte Mont and a guest of A G Bast Is still with us and is giving Stateline a thorough inspection and s far is very much pleased with the outlook and the district he claims bids fair to become I a great mining camp but it needs cap ital to do development work The Creole mine is looking well and is furnishing more ore than the mill can handle They still havethe eight feet of ore in the face of the drift The winze is looking fine so are the drifts running at the bottom The mill Is running steady day and night and Manager Popkiss and Fore man W T Rich are much elated over the success they have made in putting the mill and mine on a paying basis The Goldbelt is being worked and a winze has been started from the upper to the lowlr ttnnpL M Sullivan is at work again on theo the-o fe after having made a profitable shipment of ore The bottom of the shaft is looking fine and some rich ores ore-s being taken out Mr Fisher of Chicago has arrived and is a guest of A Fopkiss He is looking over the camp Mr Fisher is a Chicago capitalist and a man of great i mining experience and his report on I Statplinp will be looked forward to I with great interest lr W T Rich the wife of Foreman t Fore-man Rich celebrated her silver wedding wed-ding at their home In Stateline on FrIday Fri-day evening last quite a number of guests including Messrs Popkiss Bast Courtney Smithson and several others of their friends with their ladles spent a very enjoyable evening at card playing play-ing after which a sumptuous supper was served by the hostess serve I |
