Show M FREEDS ANSWER Says Attorney Shepard Brought Suit I to Annoy Him An amended answer was filed yesterday yes-terday in the district court in the case of Shepard vs Freed The case is on I a judgment of 227910 procured against Freed in 1S87 in Arkansas the right of action upon which was purchased by Shepard The answer alleges that the action is barred by the statute of limitation limi-tation and that Shepard brought suit upon it for the purpose of harassing annoying and injuring the defendant and putting him to great expense and trouble to defend I because he had ceased to employ him as his attorney Judgment On Promissory Note Judgment for 1925 was rendered yesterday by Judge Cherry for the plaintiff in the case of J L Atkinson vs I F Menough and Ellen Me nough The case was on a promissory note for 1500 dated July 30 1896 C W Morse and C S Price were plaintiffs plain-tiffs attorneys and S P Armstrong appeared for defendants |
