Show DULLARD COUNTY ONYX It I Said to Be Equal to the Mexican Article Mr D McMaster of Denver and Mr A A McMaster of Salt Lake city arrived in Deseret yesterday from Osceola where they have been for a number of days inspecting in-specting the gold ledges of that camp with a view to starting up the gold mill The gentlemen have obtained a lease and bond on the mill also on several gold bearing quartz veins and believe the outlook to be very favorable lor the success suc-cess of their enterprise The gentlemen will go on to Salt Lake tonight Mr D Mc Master will take to Denver several fine specimens of polished onyx from the quarries of Messrs K A McBride and C Anderson of Fillmore These quarries are situated in the southern portion of the Detroit range and about twentytwo miles northwest from Deseret Mr Mc Master is enthusiastic in his praise of the I myx which varies from a rosewood to a laho any color The gentleman says the onyx used in Browns hotel Denver was imported from Old Mexico and resembles sembles very strongly the Millard county product and which if of the requisite hardness can undoubtedly be put on the market in a short time On Mr Mc Masters return to Denver the specimens will be given a thorough test which will be > awaitad with considerable Interest by I the entire community I |
