i i V WEST TEMPLE STREET PAVIXG I Excellent Work Done b y the Pacific i Paving Company > V The street paving in the business f J section have been completed the cit V zens are congratulating themselves on the splendid improvement which has W V transformed their portion of the city V The work done by the Pacific Paving V company on West Temple street is especially V es-pecially satisfactory I was begun inV in-V April last the company at that tim V not anticipating the many difficulties that would be encountered After grad nit and rolling with tn ton gad trouble commenced Water and V troble ga pipes had to be laid sewer man holes V built fire hydrants placed gas sewer and water connections gs electric V light and other poles placed in position V V A small forest of tee had to be cut down Flumes on all sectIons had to be taken out and at the Continental corner cor-ner the remnant of an old water tank tnk thirty feet long by sixteen wide and eight deep was encountered This was formerly used by the volunteer fire laddies On each section of the streets were built conduits with stone sides concrete bottoms and Iran gratings cncrete Irn on V towhich have proved a success The Pacific Pa-cific Paving company has put down y many miles of paving all over the V V country and ha had many years of experience but the work done by it V = here is firstclass in every particular V It was l done under the supervision V of WRead who has had charge jot many large contracts for the company Cand whose ability is unquestioned V The Pacific has completed all of its contracts in Salt Lake and they s represent a lot of work including State Street Commercial street and about V seven mlles of sidewalk paving Some of the work the Commercial street V paving has been down for three years during whrh time It has been thoroughly thor-oughly tested and is today In splendid V condition Mr Read does everything thoroughly and to his able torughly ad manage manag ment much of the popularity of the Pacific Paving company in Salt Lake V is dueTHE
