| Show ALMOST DROWNED HEBER C WALSH HAS A VERY i HARROW ESCAPE I I I He Was Found Apparently Lifeless at the Bottom of the Swimming Pool at the Sanitarium There was some excitement among the bathers at the Sanitarium on Third Southstreet last evening about 9 oclock caused by the finding at the bottom of the gentlemens large swimming pool the apparently lifeless body of a young man There were twentyfive or thirty bathers in the pool at the time and several of them happened to stumble stum-ble over the body which was quickly fished out and taken to an ante room Dr H T Emeis was at once sent for and by well directed efforts of the kind usually resorted to in restoring the partially drowned the man was brought to consciousness The unfortunate fortunate individual proved to be Heber C Walsh employed as a bookkeeper at the tinning establishment estab-lishment of Mrs M A Walsh 77 West First South street It was learned that he was subject to fits and must have been seized whilst in the water No one knows how long he was in the bath or hpw long he lay at the bottom bot-tom before being found He had avery a-very close call and when taken out appeared to be dead He slowly recovered re-covered and in a couple of hours time he was moved to his home 673 Third street where at last acounts he was resting easy and will probably be all right again in a few days No blame whatever is attached to the Sanitarium or any of its employes The young man was simply a victim to his own incaution in going into the warm swimming pool alone when fully aware of his infirmity |
