Show Jaycees To Host Labor Day Event The Bountiful Jaycees announced today three special programs will take place in the south Davis area this month in their efforts to raise much needed money for the Muscular Muscu-lar Dvstonhv Association. ACCORDING to Ronald Isaacson, Jaycee chairman, the events will be a Fun For AH" at Five Points Mall on Sept. 7; "Back To School Night" at Lagoon on Aug. 28. and a continuous effort with MDA coin banks located in retail re-tail outlets in the Bountiful area. The "Fun For All" will consist con-sist of a variety of booths in- eluding a display of new and old cars; exhibitions by local fire and police departments and local spas; a fish bowl, and a mile-of-money. The main attractions will be the auctioning auction-ing of special items ranging from rocks, tickets and weekends away to dinners with Utah's political leaders. "All funds will go to the Muscular Mus-cular Dystrophy Association to help Jerry's kids," said Mr. Isaacson. ERIC LONG, Jaycee cochairman, has been directing direct-ing fund raising activities through coin banks located in retail outlets in the Bountiful area. "The coin banks have raised over $300 to date and will continue through the Labor Day weekend," according accord-ing to Mr. Long. "Local merchants mer-chants have been a great help to us. We would like to thank all those Bountiful area merchants mer-chants who have helped us help Jerry's kids.". Aug. 28 has been designated "Back-to-School" night at Lagoon. La-goon. The Farmington amusement amuse-ment park will donate a percentage per-centage of their proceeds for the day to Muscular Dystrophy. Dystro-phy. The day's events will include in-clude band concerts, remote radio broadcasts, and a special visit from Harvey and Cannon-ball Cannon-ball of KTVX's Hotel Balderdash. Balder-dash. THE BOUNTIFUL Jaycees plan to raise $25,000 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association Associa-tion this year as part of a nationwide Jaycee effort of $2.25 million. The Jaycees have contributed $5.5 million over the last 3'j years. A Liars Contest will also be held and members of the Bountiful Boun-tiful City Council has committed commit-ted to judge the contest.
