Show CENTRAL PACIFIC The Octopus Holds Its Regular Animal imal 3Iictiii San Francisco April 10The annual meeting of the Central Pacific Rail road company took plaqe today The following were elected directors Isaac L Requa C P Huntington William I Mills C E Bretherton James O B Gunn F E Spencer and Charles H P Eels the latter succeeding succeed-ing R R Schwerein Requa and Gunn are the successors of H E Huntington and C F Crocker who resigned two weeks ago Mr Bretherton representative representa-tive of the English stockholders who was expected to be present did not appear but Mr Eels voted his proxies The annual report for 1893 was read I shows gross earnings of 14261225 expenditures 13476508 balance 784 717 against earnings 14612930 expenditures expen-ditures 13751616 balance 860374 for i 1892 The annual interest of 1671340 accruing on United States bonds payable pay-able by the company at their maturitv In 1895 and 1899 must also be added to the above charges The election of officers occurs Thursday |
