Show The Ohio at Cincinnati CINCINNATI Feb 2GAt 10 oclock tonight to-night the Ohio river at this point is just fiftytwo feet above low water and is still rising at the rate of two inches an hour The sky is overcast and threatening but the temperature is falling materially and the signal service here says colder weather is expected before morning Should it come it would check the rise quite materially If a heavy rain should set 4i3 along the valley before morning ead continue during the day it would 1huse a dangerous flood The present indications indi-cations are that under present conditions the rise will not be over ffft five or fifty six feet Mavigation is suspended because boats cannot pass under the bridges and also because the landing is about covered with water The backwater up Mill creek has inundated a few gardens but it comes too early in the season to damage them much I |
