Show THE SEVIER MINE SOLD It Brings the TIdy Little Sum of One Hundred Thousand Dollars CLEAR CREEK Sevier county Utah Sept 23 1S90 Correspondence of THE HEKALD Tha Sevier mine previously owned by Messrs Moore James Snyder mid Rhatt bas very recently changed hands for the nice little sum of 12J000 the sale having been effected by Mr Waurapler a gentleman who is president of a mining company in Idaho TheSevier mine is situated in the head of a tributary fork of Clear Creek cafion which is known as Mill Fork and about twenty miles in a southwesterly direction from Joseph city in this county Tbe mine however is located in what is known as Gold Mountain Mining district Piute county Tnis mine is exclusively free milling ore and snows an assay of 20 per ton in gold and silver for sixty feet in width across the vein From a mill sample recently obtained from the mine and from an interview with some of the original owners I learned that there will in all probability be a con siderable amount 01 development worlt done on the property this fail and winter preparatory no doubt to the putting up of a mill for the purpose of crushing the ore which labor will be vigorously perforate as early in the spring as the snow will admit ad-mit of getting the machinery on the grouna There arc aiso numerous other veins of mineral bearing quartz which when fully developed will compare very favorably in quality and quantity with the nbovenumcc mine i will also mention in this connection connec-tion the property known us MayFlower mine which also gives evidence of becoming i I becom-ing one of the most valuable pieces of PrOPerty prop-erty in the camp This property is owned by a Park City company A considerable amount of development work has been done showing a vein of free milling ere containing gold and silver some twenty feet in width and assaying all the way from forty to three hundred dollars per ton I This property is situated about one milo in a southwesterly direction from the Sevier mine in a tributary fork ofFish of-Fish Creek canon There are also other veins of mineralbearing rock at or near the head of Dry creek Deer creek and others of those tributary cafions adjacent adja-cent to Mount Baldy which only lank the expenditure of a little capital to make this I one of tho most prosperous camps in the west as its timber and water facilities I are unsurpassed It is to be hoped as the railroad approaches nearer to this now somewhat isolated region there will be I greater interest taken in the development of the mineral wealth of this country wit which I am perfectly cohlident it so richly abounds > O ROLLINS The Resolute Ilniiis Company Tho articles incorportion of the Resolute Reso-lute Mining company were filed with Secretary Sec-retary Sells yesterday The company is organized to conduct a general mining iud milling business and ownes the Resolute Roland Clark Middle Ledge and Indication Indica-tion mines in Ophir mining district Toocl county Tho capital stock is placed at si 003000 divided into 100000 shares of the par value of 10 each This stock is subscribed sub-scribed for as follows Home Metres A D Young S33 > 3 Mouse Young tsnu 41burt C young 3X John D Spcncer r M L Cummings j The officersA D Young president T R Eilerbeck secretary and treasurer John D Spencer vicepresident |
