Show The Great AntiTrust BilL ta1 WASHINGTON April 2The antitrust 7 bill as reported to day from the Senate committee on judiciary in substance declares J de-clares that every contract or combination 1 in the form of a trust or otherwise or conspiracy con-spiracy in restraint of trade or commerce among several states and territories or with foreign nations or in any territory terri-tory or state illegal Every person who shall make such a contractor contract-or engage in such a combination or conspiracy or who should monopolize mon-opolize or combine or conspire with any other person or persons to monopolize any part of trade or commerce among the I several states and territories or with foreign for-eign nations shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor ana on conviction be punished pun-ished by a fine not exceeding 500 or imprisonment im-prisonment not exceeding one year or both Any property owned under any contractor contract-or by combination pursuant to any con 5Pirac and being in the course of trans irtation shall InJ forfeited to the United tates and may be seized and condemned by like proceedings as those regarding property imported contrary to law Any person who shall be injured in business busi-ness or property by any other person or corporation reason of anything forbidden forbid-den by this act may sue in any circuit court of the United States and recover three fold the damages sustained besides costs of suit and attorneys fee The act includes corporations and associations existing ex-isting under or authorized by the laws of the United States and territories or any foreign country |
