action of Congress upon ihe interState commerce com-merce bill still keeps the operators out of the stock market which remains dull and almost devoid of leature The market opened somewhat irregular but generally strong Lake Shore was a conspicuous stock with an advance or 7 per cent There was a moderate business in the first few minutes in which Jersey Central and West Point were conspicuous Prices were strong especially for Jersey Central and Peona Decatur and Evansville The activity soon died away but the advance ad-vance in prices continued until noon The dullness was then intensified tomor-row but they were obtained tonight through pri ate sources The stock on hand is 400000 tons Required for con sunqption seed carry over and shipments ship-ments to Pacific Ocean points 150 000 tons balance available for ship ment to Europe 250000 tons equal to SOOOOOjO bushels These figures corroborale lE6 estimlftes lately made during the first six months of last year California sent to Europe 402000 tons of wheat GO per cent more than the ac tual quantity at present in the State for export to Europe As this year is an off year due to smaller amounts of summer fallowing done in the
