Show Bountiful Approves Out Of State Trips BOUNTIFUL Three out-of-state trips for city officials were approved by the city council last week, but one will not involve city expense. CITY RECORDER Arden Jenson and Mark McRae of the city's accounting department will travel to Vancouver, B.C., Oct 14-17, to attend an INM Management Seminar for computer systems. Mr. Jenson told the council that it would be very beneficial to attend because be-cause it would assist in the: learning of computer operations opera-tions and especially what the computer can do that Bountiful Bounti-ful is not yet utilizing. He noted that the complex computer system was put into operation in the city about 1 i years ago and is used to serve all departments within the city. "But there are still a lot of things the computer can do efficiently that we haven't yet put into operation," he told the council." COST OF the trip is $625 each. A seminar in Denver for discussions dis-cussions of fire prevention, operations and investigation of arson will attract four city officials offi-cials for a one-day stay. This meeting will be attended by the mayor, city attorney, fire chief and police chief. THE MAYOR, city atty. Layne B. Forbes and the city recorder will travel to Nashville, Nashvil-le, Tenn., to sign industrial bonds on behalf of the city. The bonds are for construction of the new laundry facility at the Lakeview Hospital and all expenses are being paid by the Hospital Corporation of America, who owns the Lake-view Lake-view Hospital, grb |
