I I 5 Ml r r?r - 1 1 i j If : I I 1 I LISA JOHNSON Dance Instructor "Dancing has always been a part of my life," says Lisa Johnson, a newcomer to the Bountiful area. Lisa has been dancing since the age of four at the "Tueller School of Dance" in Logan, under the direction of Valene Tueller. LISA GAINED an excellent dance education in ballet, jazz and tap. She was a member of Tuellerettes for five years, during which time she had opportunities to perform at the Utah Jazz and USU basketball halftimes. She apprenticed for one year at the Tueller School of Dance and assisted Mrs. Tueller Tuel-ler in teaching various dance classes. SHE ATTENDED and majored ma-jored in dance while at USU and was a member of the Aggiettes (USU marching group). A highlight of Aggiettes Aggiet-tes was a performance at the Denver Nuggets-Boston Cel- tics halftime. Lisa has studied from some of the nation's top dance instructors in-structors in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and recently in New York City. WHILE IN New York this past July, she received an award for outstanding performance. per-formance. Lisa has also attended dance conventions in Salt Lake City. Her love for and dedication to dance has prompted her to teach in the Bountiful area. Starting Sept. 24, a jazz class will be offered each Wednesday night at 8. This class will be held at USA'Gym-nastics USA'Gym-nastics World for the intermediate interme-diate to advanced jazz dancer. For more information contact Lisa at 295-8641 after 5 p.m. |
