Show Not Guilty In the case iof Jerome B Paxton before be-fore the Third District Court yesterday morning the defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge of grand larceny The claim was set up that Paxton stole a sixmonthsold colt the property of Mrs E Slater from the range in Hush Valley and branded it with his mark The witnesses for the prosecution and those for the defense testified to the ownership of the animal the first mentioned men-tioned saying it belonged to Mrs Slater and those for the defense as strongly stating it was Paxtons The case was given to the jury in the afternoonand a verdict of not guilty was shortly rendered ren-dered I f |
