Show Mrs Mumford Gone The hosts of friends of Mrs Han nah C Mumford will be pained to hear of the death of that estimable lady which occurred yesterday morning at her home in the Eight eenth ward The occurrence was 1 very unexpected so much so that many who had beheld her in life seemingly hale and hearty but a few days before were loth to attach credence to the report She was w s the wife of E T Mumford better known as JFatner Mumford whose face and form are as familiar as the hills to residents of this city and was the mother of Mrs Marion T Beatie of the Twelfth vard Mrs Mumfords birthplace was Nova Scotia where she spent the early part of her life afterwards remov ing to Chautauqua county New York and thence to Salt Lake city where she arrived in 1849 She was a lady full of faith and good works and possessed of a disposition so sweet as to endear all who knew her and the best people will most mourn her loss The funeral will be held at the residence of Mr H S Beatie sonin law of deceased cor er of Fourth East and South Temple streets on Thursday morn iuer at 11 to which all friends of the family are invited |
