Show Jo Id Tight; f Jere Come 7an Notices Tax notices on real estate, improvements on homes will be mailed to 44,000 Davis County property owners on Oct. 27, according to County Treasurer Robert Telford. HE SAYS the mill levy has increased approximately 3 mills over the levy assessed last year. The state school mill levy has increased 2.18 milts and the county levy for libraries and flood control has increased .84 mills. MR. TELFORD said tax receipts will increase $2,500,000 over receipts in 1975. Total property taxes in Davis County will total approximately $15,000,000 this year, he said. "Davis County property holders are very good at paying pay-ing taxes," Mr.. Telford said. Only 3 didn't pay on time last year. Less than .10 of 1 percent have been delinquent in paying over the last five years. IF TAXES are not paid for five years or over, the property can be sold at public auction. Property tax assessments assess-ments are due by Nov. 30, but can be paid later with a penalty added. Mr. Telford said taxes can be paid by mail or over the counter. Property is assessed at 20 of the cash value in dollars. |
