Show r i V V if? - I lull mm -miiig iiif.T- mm VVALLY PERKES W. Perkes Dies In California Wallace Henry Perkes, 65, died Dec-30, 1979 in Escon-dido, Escon-dido, Calif. He was born June 13, 1914 in Salt Lake City to William Adrian and Olive Elizabeth Evans Perkes. HE MARRIED Francis Elizabeth Stirling on Sept. 22, 1934 in Coalville. The marriage was later solemnized solem-nized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died Feb. 7, 1960. He married Shirley Deanne Poulson (Tavey) on May 19, 1960 in Salt Lake City. MR. PERKES attended the University of Utah, retired in 1973 as supervisor with Mountain Bell, after 34 years service. He was a long time resident of Bountiful, moving to Escondido in 1972. He was . an avid gardener and par-' ticularly enjoyed growing prize flowers. 'He was a former member of the Bon-neview Bon-neview Flower Club, Bountiful Boun-tiful and a high priest in the LDS Church. SURVIVORS include his wife; daughter, Diane Perkes, both of Escondido, Calif.; son, Sterling Perkes, Poway, Calif.; daughter Mrs. Frank B. (Beverly) Nowak; son Ronald D. Perkes and daughter Mrs. William R. (Janet Tavey) Goldstrohm, both of Bountiful; daughter Mrs. James (Sheryl Tavey) Cherpeski, Midvale; sons, Mike Tavey, Mesa, Ariz.; Steve Tavey, Orem; 15 grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Helen Perkes, Mrs. Chauncy (Ardell) Call, both of Salt Lake City; twin brother, William E. Perkes, Fillmore. . . .., FUNERAL' services were held Thursday, Jan. 3 at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City. |
