Mr. and Mrs. Earle Nelson and four children came in last Wednesday Wed-nesday night from lteibuig, Idaho to spend the winter. Their son, Earle has been here since October, with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Worthen. Mr. and Mrs. Worthen had the following guests in their home the latter part of last week: Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Gregorson of Belvue, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Lemmon of Hurricane, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Slack of Toquerville, and Mrs. Afton Ballard of Rock-ville. Rock-ville. Mr. and Mrs. M. Davis and sons spent the Thanksgiving holi-dals holi-dals in Salt Lake City. On Sat. urday night they were guests of friends in Provo. Royal Hunt of Central and Bruce Snow of Pine Valley were visitors here on Tuesday while enroute home from Gold Butte, Nevada where they had been on cattle business. Miss Ellen Carter, County Recorder Re-corder is back in her office at the Court House this week after a long absence due to a serious illness. Her many friends and associates are glad to see her out again. Mrs. Andrew Schmutz entertained enter-tained the following friends at pinochle at her home Saturday evening: Mrs. Mary McArthur, Mrs. Madge Vance, Mrs. Frankie Gray, Mrs. Martha Schmutz, Mrs. Zetta Worthen, Mrs. Nettie Morris Mor-ris and Mrs. Anna Bentley. Born, a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Zahner, November 27 at the local hospital. Robert Seaman was badly burned Monday morning about two o'clock when the house he was sleeping in at Rockville caught fire. He was awakened by the smoke and flames and fought his way out and moved two cars that were near the flaming building. He was brought immediately to the hospital here where he was treated for bums on the head, back and right arm Although suSering quite a bit of pain he is getting along nicely. Ray Bentiey and Pratt Prince spent the fore part Of the week in Los Angeles on business. Clement Whipple of Mt. Trumbull, Trum-bull, Arizona was brought to the hospital here on Monday suffering from a broken right arm and lacerations of the head and numerous bruises received when he was thrown and dragged by a mule. He left the hospital on Wednesday. |
