Influenza reports to the state board of health today showed 1690 new cases and 189 of pneumonia, a.nd S3 deaths in 111 towns sending telegraphic reports. The list Included 250 new cases in St. Paul. More than 150 fire refugees in the Cloquet fire district now are suffering with influenza, according to a message received late today at state military headquarters head-quarters from Adjutant General W. F. Rhinow, who is at Cloquet. SAN JUAN, Porto Rico, Wednesday, Oct. 30. Twelve hundred soldiers at Camp Las Casas are ill with a light form of Spanish influenza. Forty cases of pneumonia have developed, but there has been only one death. The Insular sanitary authorities report that there are five cases or influenza among the civil population In San Juan, but that there are S00 cases in the nearby near-by town, of Loiza. In New Mexico. EAST LAS VEGAS, N. M.f Oct. 31 The Spanish Influenza situation is clearing clear-ing up In the larger centers and spreading spread-ing in the more isolated communities of New Mexico, according to a statement issued tolay by the secretary of the state board of health. There have been 12,976 cases and 797 deaths in this state since the epidemic began. PARIS, Oct. 31. In Paris, during the week ended today, trfere were 2566 deaths, the greatest total since the beginning ot the grip epidemic here. Of the deaths reported, 1263 were due to grip and 515 to various diseases of the lungs. During the last few days the number of deaths reported daily has been increasing. |
