Show MRS. WM. HARTMAN'S FATHER DIES IN SraAWTLLE, CALIF. Marian E'' Paris, former resident resi-dent of Dixie" and father of Mrs. William Hartman. died at his home in Susanville, . California, May 19th. :f Death came from heart trouble: which was. brought, on by pnemonia. Mr. Paris -will be remembered hv residents of the county as he took an active part in the development de-velopment of;. this district during the twenty-five years that he resided here.x He held the position posi-tion of -sheriff in Arizona for flourteen years. He was born and reared in Texas and came to Dixie in the days of the ' activity at Silver Reef, where -:he followed mining and real estate. Later going to Nevada in the days of the gold boom at Goldfield and Tonapah. He has made; his home in California Calif-ornia for the past sixteen years. Had he lived until July 7, hei would have been 77 years old. Surviving him are: his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Dalice P. Hartman, Leeds; Mrs. Ruth P. Stewart and; Mrs. Mamie (P. Lamb, Alamo', Nevada; on brother, broth-er, Dr. R. W.- Paris; one sister, Mrs." Laura Wolfe, both of Idaho. |
