Show OFFICERS OF P. T. A. HONORED A T SOCIAL Over one- hundred people attended at-tended a social given by the out-going and in-coming officers of the local Parent-Teacher association as-sociation which was given in the basement of the tabernacle, Tuesday evening at S:00 p.m. As the crowd assembled Miss Alene Worthen played several cello solos. She was accompanied accompan-ied by Miss Evyrean Cox at the piano. The first number on the program was a patriotic tap dance given by H. T. Pace, Den-ziT Den-ziT Li'ghtner, K. Root and K. D. Williams, followed by a solo Yankee Doddle dance by H. T. Pace. The trio consisting kt the Misses Mona Reber, Una Pickett and Catherine Clark, accompanied ac-companied by Mae Pace sang two selections. M'iss Jean Painter Paint-er accompanied by Earl J. Bleak, violinist and Mrs. Bleak, pianist, sang." This was followed by a vocal solo by Mrs. Mamie Pax-1 man, a violin solo by Irene Ev- j erett, and two readings by President Presi-dent B. Glen, Smith. Remarks were made, by President Smith , and Vernon Worthen, and a response re-sponse was made by Mr. and Mrs. Dan Painter. Mrs. Painter was then presented pre-sented with a small gift in honor of . the work she has done as president of the local P. T. A. I the past year. The program was then turned I over to President Smith and Mr. I Worth en who had arranged games for the evening. A delicious de-licious lunch was served. |
