Show NEW HARMONY CHILD DIES OFJPINGITIS Small Daughter of Mason Rencher Victim of Spinal Disease; Funeral Sunday. Betty Rose, the seven-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mason Rencher of New Harmony, passed away at her home at 6 o'clock Saturday, January 3, of spinal meningitis. The child was born December 21, 1923, in St. George, and attended at-tended the first grade in New Harmony this year. During the holidays she developed a severe cold, but seemed to be well recovered re-covered until Saturday morning. In the afternoon she suffered spasms which developed into meningitis men-ingitis and died that evening. Besides Be-sides her parents she is survived by two sisters, Vivien and Mau-rean, Mau-rean, and a brother, Jack. Funeral services were held in the tabernacle Sunday at 4 p. m., under un-der the direction of Erastus S. Gardner, the bishop of Pine valley ward, and were attended by a larpe number of relatives and friends. The family could not attend, at-tend, being under quarantine.
