Show Services Held Monday for Billie J. Sparks Funeral services were held Monday at 3 p.m. at the Community Baptist Church in Moab for Billie James Sparks, 53, a resident of Moab for the past seven years. Mr. Sparks passed away suddenly sudden-ly at his home on Oct. 15. He w-as born Nov. 9, 1917 at Paonia, Colo., to James and Hazel Mueller Sparks. He was married to Frankys L. Naylor on July 10, 1955 in Montrose, Colo. She survives.. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was an employee at City Market after moving to Moab. He is survived by his widow, wid-ow, two daughters by a previous prev-ious marriage; two step daughters and one step-son. Mrs. Carol Skinner, Cortez, Colo.; Mrs. Dianne Duncan, Rock Springs, Wyo.; Mrs. Richard (Joy) Hahn, Mason, Texas; Mrs. Don W. (Betty) Smith. Los Angeles, Calif.; and Richard Hawker, Grand Junction, Colo. Two sisters also survive: Mrs. Jack Hir-sch, Hir-sch, Paonia, Colo.; and Mrs. Lloyd Clary of Denver, Colo.; and one half-brother, Clifford Clif-ford Sparks of Scottsdale, Ariz. There are eight grandchildren. grand-children. Rev. E. M. Balla official- at the services on Monday, . and burial was in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery under the direction of the Grand Valley Mortuary. |
