Show Teasdale-Miner Marriage Event Of 'Vast Week Annourtcement is made of the marriage of Edith M. Teasdale, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Albert Al-bert Giles of this city, and Harold Miner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Miner, also of Springville, which took place Wednesday, January 6, in the Salt Lake temple. Stephen L. Chipman performed 'the ceremony in the presence of a large group of relatives. The bride's wedding gown was a white satin model with tailored jacket. Those witnessing the ceremony were: Mr. and Mrs. Giles, parents of the bride; Mrs. Paul C. Miner, mother of the groom; Mrs. Bernice Bartholomew, Amy Teasdale, and Mrs. Margaret Miner of this city; Mrs. Lilliam Christensen, Mrs. Ruth Bennion, Mrs. Naomi Forward, For-ward, Mrs. Irene Biggs, of Salt Lake City. The couple plan to make their home in Springville for the present. pres-ent. Mr. Miner plans to enter the armed service in the near future. The Thursday following their marriage in Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Miner made a conference call to Mrs. Ethel Miner, Harold's mother in Springville, to Mrs. C. H. Pitcher, a sister in Calgary, Cal-gary, Alberta, Can., and to Mrs. C. A. Hartley, Jr., another sister, in Salinas, Calif. They were all on the same telephone line at the same time and extended congratulations to the newlyweds. SIRS. LELA StIMSION GAVE A PARTY in the form of a surprise handkerchief handker-chief shower Monday evening in compliment to her 'mother, Mrs. Emma Coplan, who left Tuesday for California. During the evening, Mrs. Coplan told her history and the group enjoyed en-joyed social conversation together with tasty refreshments. Present were: Mrs. Lulu Men-denhall, Men-denhall, Mrs. Nettie Thorn, Mrs. Deal Miller, Mrs. Ella Reynolds, Mrs. Hannah Clyde, Mrs. Anna Mendenhall, Mrs. Prudence Pal-freyman, Pal-freyman, Mrs. Mae Crandall, Mrs. Lydia Sumsion, Mrs. Retta Sumsion, Sum-sion, Mrs. Mattie,Palfreyman, Mrs. Genevieve Bullen, Mrs. Sam Wagner, Wag-ner, Mrs. Hattie Dougall, Mrs. Bell Childs, Mrs. Grace McKenzie, Mrs. Christie Lee, Mrs. Hazel Roy-lance, Roy-lance, Mrs. Lena Maycock, Mrs. Esther Es-ther Condie, Mrs. Helen Peterson, and S. L. Mendenhall. CARDS AND LUNCHEON WERE ENJOYED SATURDAY by a number of friends who were entertained at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Russen Bird. ' Attending were: Mr. and Mrs. Joe Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Taylor, Mr. and Mrs. Thayne Laney, and Mr. and Mrs. George Bird. MRS. WOODROW THOMPSON WAS HOSTESS THURSDAY evening to members of the Pari Passu club at her home in Provo. Featuring the entertainment, Naomi Na-omi Weight in an interesting manner man-ner gave a paper on "The World of Today." Mrs. Lawrence of Provo Pro-vo entertained with a reading. Luncheon was served at the close of the evening's entertainment entertain-ment by the hostess. |
