Show Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd L Hodson Make Home in Orem Following Reception Now making their home in Orem are newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd L. Mrs. Hodson is the former Phyllis Carrol, daughter of Mrs. Loretta D. Carrol of Orem and Lloyd's father is LeRoy Hodson Hod-son of Springville. The couple received their guests before traditional white tapers in candleabra banked on either side with baskets of pink and white snapdragons. The bride was charming in a floor length gown of white slipper satin with a lace stand-up collar and dainty lace insets on the long sleeves. Her veil was finger-tip length of brid'e illusion attached to a lace coronet. Her bouquet was of red roses and white carnations. Attending as her matron of honor was her sister, Mrs. Reed Davis and attending matrons and maids were Mrs. Max Giles, Mrs. Joe Flowers and Marilyn Dean. Standing as best man was Max Giles. Kathleen Davis was flower girl. Greeting guests at the door were Bishop and Mrs. Clarence L. Jensen Jen-sen of Springville and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Thurman, Mrs. Ed Boyack was in charge of the guest book. Gifts were taken at the door by Irene and Sherrie Dean, Toni DcDonald and Launa Wilberg. They were arranged by Renone Littlefield assisted by Iris and Le-Voy Le-Voy Coleman. Phillip Hodson acted as master of ceremonies at the evening program. pro-gram. A toast toj the bride was given by Mrs. Parley Rasmussen; to the groom, by Phillip Hodson . a piano solo, Barbara Kirk; pantomime pan-tomime by Geraldine Hansen; vocal vo-cal solos, Catherine Neilson, accompanied ac-companied by Barbara Kirk; tap dances, Irene and Sherrie Dean. Acting as ushers were Wayne Hodson, Morris Hodson and Roscoe Carroll. Refreshments were served by Marilyn Colledge, Sue Carol Wilde and Linda Benson, directed by Audrey Kirk, Ruby Larsen, Sue Bridget and Wanda Hooley. Witnessing the temple ceremony were the bride's mother; also Mr. and Mrs. James F. Carroll of Salt Lake, grandparents of the bride; Mr. and Mrs. William Bird of Springville, aunt and uncle of the groom; Bishop Clarence Jensen, Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Lindley, Mr. and Mrs. Parley Rasmussen, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Fowers, Mrs. Melvin Thurman, Mrs. Ed Boyack, Mrs. George Long and Mrs. Sarah Gordon Gor-don all of Orem. The couple was also honored at a wedding dinner in' Salt Lake City given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold E. Johnson after their marriage. |
