Melvin Duke of Springville, whose engagement and approaching marriage to Edward Ed-ward W. Holmes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank L. Holmes, also of this city, is announced this week. June 14 is the date set by the popular young couple, the marriage mar-riage to take place in the Salt Lake Temple and will be followed by a reception on June 15, in the Second-Eighth ward church. Both are graduates of the Springville high school, where they were prominent in scholastic affairs, Mary Ann being year-book editor and a member of the school paper staff and Edward, president presi-dent of the senior class and an outstanding athlete. Both are graduates of the LDS Seminary and have attended Brigham Young University. |
