Show SERVICES HELD FOR J. S. WOOD Funeral services were held in the Fourth ward Sunday afternoon after-noon for J. s. Wood, 12-year-old son of Solon and Maggie Hall Wood, who died last Thursday Thurs-day midnight, following a short illness of pneumonia, at the family fam-ily residence. The services were under direction di-rection of Bishop Leo Robertson. Speakers were S. L. Mendenhall Jr., former ward bishop, and Howard Salisbury, a member of the ward bishopric. Vocal solos were rendered during dur-ing the services by Miss Hannah Rowland, Miss Helen Palfreyman, Miss Vera Wheeler and Harvey Hutchinson. Chauncy Childs accompanied ac-companied Mr. Hutchings on the cello. Piano accompanists were Mrs. Mary Witney, Mrs.' Alberta Hoover, Mrs. Lola Weight and Helen Palfreyman. The invocation was given by John Patrick and the benediction by Glenn Wright of Bingham. Mr. Wallace dedicated the grave at the City cemetery. The boy was born in Provo, June 2, 1925. He attended the Grant school last year. For his years he had taken an especially active part in church work and was an interested an enthusiastic enthusias-tic worker in whatever activity he engaged in. Surviving besides his parents, are one brother, Farland Wood, and a grandmother, Mrs. Mary Wood, Springville. |
