However here in Moab, were quite fortunate this month to have the opportunity to enjoy multi-culturmusic with an international flavor in addition to the traditional holiday festivities. One glance at Julys events calendar will surprise anyone with its diversity. Beginning with July 5th a free concert entitled USA Tournee 2000 featuring a al Austrian Mixed Chorus called Utah State Holiday Pioneer Day Monday, July 24 Coming Soon... American flute musician, Well-know- n Native jazz vocalization d sax and keyboard of bassist Mary Redhouse, of AmoChip Dabney and percussive pulse of Will Clipman each have musical gifts to share with all who attend. A rare treat as they are going on tour and will not be performing in the Southwest again for eco-spiritu- al sun-fire- pan-glob- al sometime. Then on the 22nd & 23rd from Ecuador a musical group called Atahualpamanta will be bringing together artists, indigenous peoples and community to create sculpture, music and theater for world peace. This Andean traditional music group will be inviting the audience to participate in traditional spiral dancing. Atahualpamanta, joins Earth Mandala Project for these two special days of music and dance: Saturday, July 22, Moab Arts and Recreation Center at 7:30 pm and Sunday, July 23, Old City Park at 3:00 pm. So along with the public fireworks display on the 4th of July held at dusk on the SandFlats Hill and the 24th of July Pioneer Day Utah State Holiday, please excuse the inconveniences of many local businesses being closed and enjoy cultural diversity.
