Show DIED At her home in this city, Monday, Mon-day, February lGth, 1903, at 0:30 p. m., Jane Larson, wife of George Scott, in the 74th year of her age. In last December the deceased had a paralytic stroke, which passed away, but left her in a feeble condition. Last week Tuesday she suffered another stroke which deprived her of her speech, and she took to her bed. A third attack came on Friday morning which paralyzed the whole of her left side. She remained in a conscious state until Saturday evening, when she lapsed into unconsciousness and passed peacefully away on Monday night at 9:30 o'clock. Deceased was born July 21, 1829, in Edinburgh, Scotland. Was married to George Scott on June 6, 1873, in Edinburgh, Edin-burgh, and was his second wife, no issue resulting from this marriage. She came with her husband to Utah in 1876, and was baptized in the Church of Latter-day Saints in 1881.. She leaves her husband and two children by first wife, George R. Scott of Salt Lake City and Mrs. D. M. Crawford of Monroe, Sevier county, to mourn her death. Her son attended the bedside during the last days of her illness. ill-ness. Deceased was a kindly lady, a dutiful wife and an affectionate mother to her step-children. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the Council House. |
