Show Engagement Announced Mrs. J. J. Miller announces the engagement of her daughter, Ardis Long to Dwaine Allred T. M. 2-c, son of Ray Allred of San Diego, California. Miss Long attended at-tended the ' Roosevelt High school and graduated from the Springville High school with the class of 1944. Dwaine was also a student at the Roosevelt i High school and for the past two years has been serving ov- erseas with the U S Navy. Just A Mere Club Just a Mere club was held at the home of Mrs. Grant Killian Wednesday of last week. Members Mem-bers present were Mrs. Dick Adams, Ad-ams, Mrs. Morrell Labrum, Mrs. Darrell Walker, Mrs. E. C. Nelson, Nel-son, Mrs. Parley Rawlings, Mrs. Frank Griffin, Mrs. Clair Larson, Lar-son, Mrs. Farrell Wilkins, Mrs. Reva Owen, Mrs. Lola Richens, Mrs. Jack Zimmerman and the hostess, Mrs. Killian. A lovely luncheon was served. I m w I Family Dinner Mr. and Mrs. Homer P. Edwards Ed-wards entertained at a family dinner in compliment to their son, Bill who returned to the Will Rogers Field Sunday after a fourteen day furlough. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Clem Labrum and children ,Kay and Val; Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Cook and children, Carol Lynn and Homer Johnnie of Duchesne; Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Allen and son, Bob and Miles Nelson. Handkerchief Shower A hankerchief shower was given in honof of Mrs. Minnie B. Peterson by the Trinity Guild ladies at the home of Mrs. Minnie Workman. Lunch was served and a beautiful corsage cor-sage presented to each of the following: Mrs. C. D. Gibbs, Ol-ga Ol-ga Halen, Elizabeth Winters, Mrs. R. T. Bonnin, Claribel Reef and the hostesses Minnie Workman, Nora D. Mathews and Amelia Daniels. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Wheeler of Whiterocks were Roosevelt visitors Sunday evening. They were accompanied by Mrs. Van Arsdale. |
