Show George Abplanalp Dies Of Stroke George Abplanalp, 87, died Tuesday afternoon at his home ionowing a paraiyuc siroite. Born Nov. 22, 1862, in Midway Mid-way a son of Peter and Mar-garetta Mar-garetta Edgier Abplanalp, he married Amanda Wardle, Jan. 11, 1889, in the Salt Lake temple. tem-ple. He has lived in the Uintah Basin for about 50 years, 32 of which have been spent in Roosevelt. Roos-evelt. He worked as a freighter, hauling freight from the railroad rail-road by team and wagon until ill health forced his retirement in 1927. For the past six years he and his wife, who is also an invalid, have been carefully attended at-tended by their daughter. Glen-da, Glen-da, who has made her home with them. M.r. Abplanalp is survived by his wife and eight daughters, Mrs. Lenora Axelgard, Price; Mrs. Luella Apostle, Bingham Canyon; Mrs. Gladys Davis and 'Mrs. Lola Holder, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Nancy Burton, Mrs. Edith Laris. Mrs. Margaratha, and Glenda Abplanalp, Roosevelt; Roose-velt; four brothers, Joseph, Hen-rich, Hen-rich, and Franklin Abplanalp, California; and William Abplanalp, Abpla-nalp, Duchesne; 17 grandchildren; grandchil-dren; 12 great grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p. m. in the Roosevelt Roos-evelt ward chapel, with Bishop E. J. Nixon officiating. Burial will be in the Roosevelt city cemetery. Friends may call at the Dillman mortuary Friday, and at the ramlly home Saturday Satur-day from 10 a. m, until time of services. |
