Show Ht if ten I Mrs. Grace Dalgleish n ,-, i-ii-K-.i-w-.-r- -mr - i- , 109th Birthday i Of Relief Society Honored St. Patricks Day, March 17, the 109th anniversary of the organization or-ganization of the Relief Society was celebrated in a jolly style at the Myton L.D.S. ward chapel. cha-pel. A large crowd gathered to help observe the occasion. Mrs. Anna Murray, president, opened the evening's entertainment entertain-ment with an address of wel come. The opening prayer was given by Leonard Harris, and Chester Mathison, master of ceremonies, started the gaiety with the following program: A comic act, "Mary Lou," by Syerl Dennis; vocal solo, Grant Peel; vocal solo. Bishop Glen Gilbert; a comic portrayal of Mrs. Anna Murray and Mrs. Elizabeth El-izabeth Gingell, by Floyd Ross and Aften Richens; vocal solo, Morris Miller; vocal solo, Robert Rob-ert Porritt. Dancing, with Rudy Krissman and Frank Xddell furnishing the music continued the evening's eve-ning's diversion. "Visitors from Hollywood," a Negro couple (apparently local fun makers) appeared during the evening to bring gales of laughter from their audience. Late in the evening refreshments refresh-ments were enjoyed. The committees in charge of the program consisted of Zona Giles and Dawna Dennis, while Lula Gilbert. Elizabeth Gingell, Betty Jenkins, Lena Lisonbee, Lydia Nielson, Ruth Allen. Laura Lau-ra Preece and Celia Richens were members of the refreshments refresh-ments committee. Mrs. Murray and her able helpers are to be complimented on their annivesary celebration. Lowell Babcock and Nina Babcock. students at the U.S.A. C. at Logan, spent their short vacation before the opening of the spring quarter with their parents. Mr. and Mrs, Lionel Babcock. They returned to Logan, Lo-gan, Sunday. Howard Davenport, who is attending at-tending the U. S.A.C. at Logan was a guest of Donnell Brokaw from Wednesday till Sunday. Old friends enjoyed greeting Howard during his short vacation. vaca-tion. The Davenport family moved to California last fall after residing here for several years. i |
