Workman when an unexpected group of friends gathered at her home, Tuesday afternoon, to extend best wishes. The surprise party, at which her daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Mc Cullough was hostess, featured games, visiting and a delicious luncheon. CULTURE CLUB Regular meeting of the Roosevelt Roos-evelt Culture club was held Monday evening, November 14, at the home of Mrs. Clem Labrum, La-brum, with Mrs. LaVere Labrum La-brum as co-hostess. Following a short business session, Mrs. Vola Hancock presented the educational feature fea-ture a lecture dealing with sex education. NEIGHBORHOOD SEWING Adding a touch of gaiety to this week's social scene was the temptingly arranged luncheon at which Mrs. Llewelyn Jenkins entertained members of her club on Nov. 9. STEAK FRY IOKA Friday evening the Special Interest class of Ioka had a venison steak fry at ,the home of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Ferguson. Places were set for thirty-two members. Following dinner, deer stories about the recent hunting season, and visiting formed the remainder remain-der of the evening's diversion. A number of gay parties are .planned . by the Ioka Special Interest group for the coming months. BRIDGETTE Mrs. Clem Labrum was hostess host-ess to members of Bridgette club at her home Thursday evening, eve-ning, November 10. A tempting' salad c o u r s e luncheon was featured, after which tables were arranged for bridge. Enjoying the occasion were Mrs. Mont Killian, Mrs. Elmer Eldredge, Mrs. Parley Rawlings, Mrs Orson Stevens, Mrs. Steve Bellon, Mrs. Marvell Neilson, Mrs. Johnnie Cook, Mrs: Ver-land Ver-land Nelson, Mrs. Victor Gould Mrs. Douglas McKinlay, and Mrs. Glenn Wyler. Prizes were awarded to Mrs. Cook, Mrs. Neilson, Mrs. Bellon, Mrs. Wyler and Mrs. Rawlings. BIRTHDAY OBSERVED A beautiful three tier birthday birth-day cake, festively decorated with delicate pink roses, formed the centerpiece at the dinner given at the Xavier Bellon residence, res-idence, last Thursday evening, in commemoration of Mr. Bel-Ion's Bel-Ion's birthday anniversary.
