Show Alterra, RNS Quite Active, Artistically "Marianne," an operetta in three acts, written by Paul Monroe and Samuel Yahres, will be presented in the Alterra' high school auditorium Friday, Nov 18, at 8 p. m. The cast of characters will consist of Lela Mooseman, as Marianne; Leona Christinson, as Mabel; Douglas Phillips, Marco Calan; Clyde Bartlett, Al Carter; Howard Murray, Johnny O'Shea; Bob Irmen, Ramon De Trava, Myrlen Huber, Senor del Mon-sara; Mon-sara; and Kenneth Long and Devon Seeley, two policemen. Music will be under the direction di-rection of Clyde Johnson, and Mrs. Myrtle Lambert is in charge of the staging. The operetta is built around the love story of a young heiress heir-ess of the Galonda Emerald mines in Alguara', South America. Amer-ica. Tickets may be purchased at the door, or from any Alterra high music student. 111 A cast for the new Roosevelt high school play, "Act Your Age," by William Davidson, was chosen Nov. 9 and 10 by Judges Blanche Murphy and Randall Stewart. Given' the lead parts of Sandra San-dra and Jim were Bonnie Adams Ad-ams and Dick Pierson. The other oth-er sailor is Kay Durfey; while the teen-age girls are portrayed by Peggy Luke and, Jerry Stinnett. Stin-nett. Ruth Aitkcn and Edith Hard-inger Hard-inger were chosen as the women wrestlers, with Val Roberts a? Commander Stone, and Mary Murphy as the messenger girl. The nlay, a light comedy, is generally considered one of the funniest in circulation today. |
