Show IVHITEROCECS Madeena Smith 72nd Birthday Promotes Party The J. O. Hoops family celebrated cele-brated Mr. Hoop's 72nd birthday birth-day Friday with a picnic on the river below Whiterocks. The misses Veneita Smith, Darla Fogg, and Eilene Endter were guests at the party. Joe Montes and son of Ogden are visiting at the home of Wallace Wal-lace Twitchell this week. They came for the Sun Dance. The Sun Dance was held over last week end with large crowds in attendance. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon and Cal vin Anderton went to Tooele to attend the Anderton reunion Friday. NEW WARD OFFICERS ARE SUSTAINED Mrs. Merle Moosman was sus-ained sus-ained as second counselor m the ward Relief Society. Ronald and Theron Robb were sustained as Sunday School counselors, Sunday Sun-day at meeting. Miss Marta Christensen is spending the summer with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Elbert El-bert Smith. Mildred Moosman, Paul Robb, Iona Ellingford and Madenna Smith attended Leadership meeting, Wednesday, at Roosevelt. Roose-velt. ' Mr. and Mrs. Robert Steedy and Ralph Bates of Long Beach, California spent the week visiting visit-ing at the Elbert Smith home and in Uinta Canyon fishing. They, with Mrs. Bonnie Bates and son Richard, returned to their home Saturday. Mrs. Batss has been here since the last of June. Mr Leland Moosman, Eldon Cahim and Garth Anderton "went back to the Lakes fishing the fore part of the week. Mr. and Mrs. Doll Christensen of Long Beach. California and family, who hod been visiting here, returned to their home on Tuesday. They enjoyed a fishing fish-ing trip to Paradise Park while here. , Shirley and Pauline Pickup of Randlett spent the week with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Brough while their mother moth-er was at Brighton with the Beehive girls. Father Hogben and family moved to Salt Lake City last Friday. They are going to make their home there. Mr and Mrs. Larence Bay of Richfield visited at the Elbert Smith home Saturday evening. |
