Show Uintah Schools To Open On September 8 School in Uintah District will begin September 8, according to the 1953-54 school calendar adopted by the Board of Education Educa-tion at their regular meeting Tuesday. In connection with the beginning begin-ning of school, Supt. Harold M. Lundell advises that now is the time for parents of children who will enter first grade or kindergarten kinder-garten to obtain birth certificates certifi-cates for the children and to take them to the family doctor for a physical examination. Both are required before the child can enter school. In other business before the Board Tuesday, a program for disposal of bonds for the new high school was set with the employment of Edward L. Burton Bur-ton Company, Salt Lake City, as fiscal agent. A delegation from Deep Creek, north of Lapoint, appeared ap-peared before the Board requesting re-questing bus service for 13 students stu-dents from Deep Creek to the Lapoint school. The board deferred de-ferred action on the request until un-til the next meeting.
