Show a point Mrs. Mable Jenkins Fireside Held By Mia-Maids, Scouts The Mia-Maids and Junior Scouts held a Fireside Chat Sunday evening after Sacrament meeting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thurmer Rasmussen. Opening prayer was offered by Clifford Bigelow; Doris Rasmussen Ras-mussen played a piano solo; Hayden Foster talked on his missionary experiences, and Mr. Rasmussen showed films of his trip to Yellowstone Park and intermediate places. Closing prayer was by Jerry Harrison. Refreshments were served to 36 guests by the Junior Scouts. Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Johnson, of Salt Lake City, visited Mr. Johnson's sister, Mrs. Mae Sprouse, and Mrs. Thelma Winn, Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Hor-rocks Hor-rocks and family went to Crescent Cres-cent Friday to attend funeral services for Kenneth Broadhead. Mrs. Broadhead is Ronald Hor-rock's Hor-rock's sister. Mrs. Caroline Lambert is recovering re-covering from a week's illness at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Lambert. Her four children, chil-dren, Jake Lambert, of Ogden, Helen Pillebury, of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. O. A. Riley, Poca-tello, Poca-tello, Ida., and Mrs. Louise O' Brien, of San Mateo, Calif., arrived for a visit with her. Vergie Rasmussen has returned re-turned home after spending a week with her daughter, Mrs. Dennis Harvey, of Tridell, and her new grandson. Mr. and Mrs. Orville Swain and family spent the week-end in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Trujillo and children, of Ogden. have been visiting Mrs. Trujillo's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Merrell Rasmussen, Ras-mussen, and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Trujillo. of Whiterocks. Mrs. Leona McConkie. of Vernal, Ver-nal, and Mrs. Pearless Taylor attended the shower given Saturday Sat-urday for Mrs. Gail Rasmussen at the Whiterocks chapel. Mr. and Mrs, Jasper Justice are the parents of a baby boy, born March 2 at Orangville, Ut. Mr. Justice is a former La-point La-point resident. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Angus, of Roosevelt, are the parents of a baby boy born March 7 at the Roosevelt hospital. He is the second grandchild of Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Kump. A stake missionary party was given in the Naples ward chapel chap-el for Lamond Tullis, outgoing 'mission president. Attending .'. from Lapoint were Mr. and Mrs. Hayden Foster, Mr. and Mrs. John Wardle, and Mr. and Mrs. Golden Winn. Berta Woolley and Elma Bodily, Bod-ily, visited Mr. and Mrs. Mont McCurdy, of Vernal, last Thursday. Thurs-day. Mr. and Mrs. Milt Wooley were in Salt Lake City last week for M . Wooley to receive medical med-ical attention. A card party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kay Winn Saturday night, March 10. Rook provided diversion, with high score being won by George All-red All-red and the consolation prize -oing to Gene Nyberg. Light refreshments were served to 16 guests. The students of the Alterra seminary gave the program in Sacrament meeting on Mar. 11.
