Show Schools Will Emmunize All Young Pupils A survey is being conducted in the schools of the Alpine District to determine de-termine which students will require immunization from Diphtheria and Smallpox. Permit slips are being sent to all parents which are to be signed and returned. All expense will be paid by the district. Ordinarily Ordi-narily there are about 600 students receive the Smallpox vaccination and 700 the innoculation for Diphtheria Diph-theria during the school year. The dental project, in the second and third grades of the district, has been completed in the Vineyard, Page, Sharran, Spencer, Lindon and Pleasant Grove schools. The unit and equipment will be moved to Lehi and work begun there next Monday. The dental work comprises extractions, ex-tractions, fillings and cleaning. Some 443 students have received this treat -;ment up to the present time. Some ; students have as high as ten cava-jties cava-jties while some just require a j thorough cleaning. The average runs ! about three and one-half fillings !per child. Mr. Hansen said they hoped to complete these two projects by the latter part of February. I o |
