Show Funeral Rites for Rulon E. Wells Held Thursday Funeral services were held last Thursday for Rulon E. Wells, who died of a heart attack Oct. 10 while helping to build a home. The services were held in the Lindon Ward Chapel under the direction of Bishop Leon R. Walker. Prayer at the mortuary was given by a brother, Grant Wells. Invocation was offered by James Wells, a nephew and prelude pre-lude and postlude music played by Rena Keetch. Opening number was a vocal duat, "A Perfect Day" by Eva Millet and Patsy Roundy, accompanied accom-panied by Virginia Young. A sketch of his life was given by Ted iS. Young and speakers were President Merrill N. War-nick War-nick and Bishop Walker.- An organ solo was played by Rena Keetch, "Oh My Father" and Mrs. Millett and Mrs. Roundy sang the closing number, "Abide with Me." Benediction was given by a nephew, J. Deloyd Lott and the grave in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery was dedioated by Del-bert Del-bert Wells, brother. Pallbearers were Kenneth R. Gillman, Paul C. Pack, Grant Rasband, Earl Thompson, Leonard Leon-ard Mayhew and El Don Keetch. Flowers were cared for by the Lindon Ward Relief Society. He was bom Sept. 26, 1907, in Joseph, Sevier County, a son of William H. and Henrietta Hyatt Wells. He grew to manhood in Joseph Mved in California for some time, and had been a resident of Lindon Lin-don for the past 16 years. He married Carol C. Fautin on April 13, 1929. The marriage was solemnized in the Mesa, Arizona Ari-zona LDS Temple Oct. 20, 1932. He was a member of the Aaronic Priesthood commitee of the Lindon Lin-don LDS Ward at the time of his . death. He was also a ward teacher. teach-er. He held the office of a Seventy. Sev-enty. He is survived by his wife, one son and two daughters: Rulon Wells, now in the U.S. Navy stationed sta-tioned in San Francisco, and Lila Carol Wells and Linda Doris Wells, both of Lindon. |
