Show Funeral Held Wednesday For Calvin Teague ' Calvin Teague, n of this city was electrocuted at the Kyberg Company-Strong and Grant gravel near American Fork last Saturday afternoon af-ternoon at 3.30 p. m. when the gravel loading equipment . he was working on came in contact with a high voltage power line. t He was born at Moyer, Okla. on February 12, . 1926, and with his family moved to Pleasant Grove in , July, 1942, coming here from New I Mexico. He was employed at the I Geneva Steel plant for a short time then attended the Provo Vocational School, there he graduated as an arc welder. He went to Stockton, California, where he was employed in the Poloc shipyards. He returned re-turned to Pleasant Grove about 6 months ago, and was again employ. ed at the Geneva Steel plant, by the Koppers Co. He had just worked work-ed for the Ryberg Company-Strong and Grant for one week. He is survived by his parents, Mr, and Mrs. Vernon Teauger one brother, Edward (Bud) Teague of Pleasant Grove and two grandfathers, grand-fathers, J. W. Fowler of Antler, Oklahoma, and J. B. Teague of Clarksdale, Arizona. Touching and impressive funeral rites were conducted Wednesday in the Secortd Ward L. D. S. Chapel'. Directed by Bishop C. R. Clark, the services began at 2 P. M. with the Singing Mothers renderng the opening number "Beautiful Isle." They were directed by Mrs. Pearl McMillen and accompanied by Mrs. Sarah S. Clark. - Invocation was asked by Dr. J. 0. Meeks. The first speaker was Bishop J. A. West, who told of his acquaintance acquaint-ance with the Teague family, and praised them for their honesty and straightforwardness, and eulogized Calvin as a fine outstanding young man. Wm: C. Smith of the Timpanogos Stake Presidency chose to speak on the resurrection and the life to come, and of Christ appearing to His .deciples after the crucifixion. ' ' Bishop Clark made the closing remarks which he expressed Hhe sympathy of the community, for the bereaved family and offered words of comfort. M'liaf.nl mimHpra infprsnprairnr the speakers were two duets, "In The Garden, and "Sometime Well Undestand" by Mrs. Stella Hard-man Hard-man and Mrs. Violet Beers and two numbers' "Jesus Lover of My Soul" and "I Know My Heavenly Father Knows" by the Singing Mothers. Mrs. Sarah Clark was the accompanist for all the musical numbers. Benediction was pronounced by Lews! Olpin, and the dedicatory prayer in the Pleasant - Grove City Cemetery was offered by Harold Har-old S. Walker. " Pall bearers included: - Lloyd West. James " W. 1 Bvrd. Aaron Walker. Harold A. Stewart, Davis Stewart and Bill Anderson. , Out of town relatives who attended atten-ded the funeral were: Sam Fowler, Miss Ethel May Fowler, of Valle.io, Calif.; Mrs. Iona Kirk of Mod-psto. Mod-psto. California, Mrs. Raymond Heatori, and son Ronald of San Jose, California. |
