Show Funeral Rites Set Today for Weldon 'Butch' Marrott Funeral services for Weldon "Butch" Marrott, 25, of Orem, who died Saturday July 1, 1978 of a gunshot wound, will be held today at 11 a.m. in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel in Pleasant Grove. Weldon Marrott was born Oct. 17, 1952 in American Fork to Weldon W. and Lois Boulter Marrott. He married Lynnette Weight May 27, 1978 in Las Vegas. He was a member of the LDS Church. He attended at-tended schools in Pleasant Grove, and was a veteran of the Vietnam conflict, where he earned the Bronze Medal. Survivors include his wife, one daughter, Brandi, Orem; his father of Pleasant Grove; his mother of Brigham City; two step-mothers, Mrs. Goldie Marrott and Patricia Marrott, both of Pleasant Grove; one grandmother, Mrs. Martha Maag of Orem; seven sisters and one brother, Mrs. Fred (Susan) Brereton and Mrs. Hal (Shelley) Carlson, both of Orem; Mrs. Glen (Laurie) Jones, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Kent (Eddie) Friant, Roxanne Bowie Marrott, both of American Fork; Mrs. Lynn (Tonya) Shelly, RoeAnne Bowie Marrott, and Marty Marrott, all of Pleasant Grove. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. |
